It's No Porky! What a Swine!

Texas farmer, Craig Baker, is making a stance. Good for him, I say!

Baker of Katy, a town just north-west of Houston...similar distance, I envisage, as Caboolture is from Brisbane... is staging pig races on his farm, a farm that has been in his family for 200 years. An Islamic group moved in next door and told Craig Baker his farm and his pigs had to go! In protest of being asked to move, Baker started staging pig races on Friday afternoons, one of the Islamic world's most holy days. The Katy Islamic mob have decided to build a mosque on the 11 acres they purchased adjoining Craig Baker's farm. The Islamic group knew about Baker's pigs before they purchased the land, and now, very unfairly, expect him to get rid of the pigs.

In protest, Baker is holding the very well-attended pig races. I reckon this is great. If I lived nearby, I would certainly attend, helping him in his cause and, also, for the fun. It is his right and I hope he wins his battle...not the pig races, but his right to keep the pigs on his property. He and the pigs were there first! 'Babe' would be up in arms over this!

I Can't See This Woman's Purpose!

Californian Democrat Nancy Pelosi took oath of office yesterday as the first female speaker of the US House of Representtives. The wealthy 66-year old grandmother who appears to be an advocate of Botox, arrived in the House of Representatives surrounded by her family. As votes were being called, she sat there cradling her youngest grandchild, born in November, in her arms...while her other five grandkids ran around causing mayhem as kids love to do!

It all seems more than slightly over-the-top to me. What point was she trying to make by holding the baby and allowing the other kids to run wild? The House of Representatives' chamber seems an unlikely and unsuitable place to be babysitting one's grandchildren, particularly during such a ceremony. It's a bit of a joke, I believe.

  5. I'm getting angrier and more frustrated by the moment, here!!! I can't post on my own blog! Don't ask me why this is occurring...it is and it is driving me insane! (Well, more than I usually am!)

I wish 'they', whomever 'they' ,would stop fiddling about with things that don't need 'fixing'! I was going along well until an hour or so ago when I was ready to write a new post...but for some stupid reason, known only to Google, I can't post! I can't even get into where I'm supposed to get into to write a post!!!

So expletitive after expletive, going into the 'help centre'...sending whoever it is another email (it only took them two weeks to answer the one I wrote to them over a previous problem!)searching high, low and sideways, then followed by a long, hot shower...the problem is still not solved!
