What a prick (pardon the language) G was. It's men like this that give the "good guys' a bad name. One can read how upset you were and rightly so at this "shits" attitude.
I'm pleased to see that Libby finally gave G the "BIG A".
A sad but extremely well written story and a unpleasant time in your life.wazzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05101755538776217456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27914104.post-2995026936297064422007-02-08T12:39:00.000-08:002007-02-08T12:39:00.000-08:00Thanks, Merle..and thanks for reading the story. :...Thanks, Merle..and thanks for reading the story. :)Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15835982875620956300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27914104.post-39801721606102380722007-02-08T06:16:00.000-08:002007-02-08T06:16:00.000-08:00Hi Lee ~~ Thanks for that sad story that you have ...Hi Lee ~~ Thanks for that sad story that you have told us so beautifully
I can see how difficult it has been to write about it. Many cults/sects are wiped out only to pop up again in a different incarnation.

He had his agenda...but I didn't want or need him or his agendas around me.

As for Q, he also believed he was beyond reproach...and still does. The last time I saw Q was at his daughter's wedding (she was named after me) seventeen months ago. I spoke very briefly to him and not once did he notice the sarcasm nor subtle nuances in my voice and words. But then he wouldn't expect another to speak with him that way. He has since remarried a lass much younger than he...she also worked for me on the island...there within lies another story...a lengthy story. Just let me say this, I have no time for his second wife either now or when she worked for me. One of the few regrets in my life is I didn't fire her when I had the chance. I went to the wedding with my girlfriend of many, many years, his first wife, mother of the lass being married.

I, did, however, enjoy the moment when his now-wife, my ex-staff member, slipped over and landed on flat on her back within my full view. It was kinda poetic justice, karma...and I swear...I was no where near her when it happened...I was sitting down talking with another close friend of the bride's mother. I was about to take a photo of the wedding cake and if I'd been a little quicker, I would have captured the display on camera! I must admit, though, we found it very difficult to hide our mirth...but we did succeed, somehow. Knowing that the person who fell knew we saw what had happened was reward enough. The room was bare except for us three at the time as the other guests were on the top deck of the boat or out at the stern area. The wedding reception was held on a riverboat on the Brisbane River, the night of the 'River Fire' celebrations. The look on 'tripee's' face as she had to walk by us after the slip, told the story! ;)Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15835982875620956300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27914104.post-56864592371075748272007-02-05T19:24:00.000-08:002007-02-05T19:24:00.000-08:00I remember those orange folk who established commu...I remember those orange folk who established communes all over the world based upon teachings of the notorious Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, who preached his own particular doctrine of mysticism, therapy and sexual freedom while under the influence of laughing gas, seated in a dentists chair.

An important aspect was to dress in orange so maybe your islander G , more fond of white was of a different persuasion. The orange movement collapsed in 1985, but not before the so called guru had amassed a fortune.

You are to be congratulated on maintaining an integrity and compassion to Libby and the children. No such encouragement however to your Employer, in agreeing to such a bizarre arrangement and showing total disregard for your initial advice. I doubt he would get away with that to day.
