Great family photos. Radio was king in our household too. Living in Western Queensland we did not get TV reception until the mid 1970s and then did not have two stations until we moved to Townsville. I have one photo only with Brody's father ~ perhaps there is something fortuitous in that for relationships that don't last.carol in cairnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13361149279309934814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27914104.post-53206801390335618802015-05-11T22:53:06.080-07:002015-05-11T22:53:06.080-07:00I just thought I'd reassure you - you aren'...I just thought I'd reassure you - you aren't going insane, but for some reason your comments keep appearing on my blog the post before the one you're talking about! When I read the story I had to go back and really look at the photo with your Mum and Dad together, that must have been quite something for you to see. I think that's what I like about photography, even though circumstances change, that one moment is captured forever. My mother, who was also a red head, used to take a break from the daily chores and enjoy the show, I Love Lucy. Of course, while she was watching she tackled the never-ending basket of mending. The buttons to sew on, the hems to be fixed or altered, and the worn elbows of jumpers to be darned! <br />Her other favourite shows were Our Miss Brooks and Bilko.
